The Axis of Texas

Something of a travelogue, this piece was inspired by my travels and the idea of creating a dialogue between two disparate places (Germany and Texas), based on a movement of sound, the camera movement and the shape of this movement through the space of the frame. In the past, whenever doing a piece using material recorded on trips, I would always make them in an improvisatory manner, with very mixed results. This time, I decided that the form & concept should be developed beforehand, so that I would have a good idea of what I would like to gather when heading out to the desert. The material i used from Germany had a big influence on what followed.
