In conjunction with the Performing Media Festival (a series of performances taking place in South Bend, Indiana), this is an international gathering of artists at Indiana University–South Bend specifically focusing on real-time media. Artworks include recordings of live performance, generative processes, and edits of real-time captures. To quote Woody Vasulka: “By ‘artifacts’ I mean that I have to share the creative process with the machine. It is responsible for too many elements of this work. These images come to you as they came to me—in a spirit of exploration.” Artists featured in the exhibition are Christopher Biggs, Ted Davis, Mathew Schlanger, James Connolly, Karl Erickson, Sara Goodman, Debora Bernagozzi & Jason Bernagozzi, Paloma Kop, Kevin Kripper, Jonathan Gillie, and Toby Kaufmann-Buhler.
